As we bid farewell to 2025, at Bodegas Mamerto de la Vara we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the individuals and companies who have been part of a particularly significant year for us: the year in which we celebrated 85 years of history.
Since 1940, three generations of our family have kept alive a way of working based on dedication, artisan quality and closeness to those who trust in our products, as we already told you in this post.
This anniversary has been an opportunity to remember our origins and reinforce the path we want to follow.
A YEAR TO REAFFIRM OUR VALUES
Our 85th anniversary has given us the opportunity to review our journey and reinforce the principles that define us as producers of bulk sweet wines, fortified wines, vermouth, muscatel, mistela and customised sweet wines:
– Commitment to quality, backed by certifications such as IFS Progress Food. (see the information in this entry)
– Up-to-date production and technological capacity, with our own bottling plant and processes focused on food safety and efficiency. (Discover our facilities in Cheste)
– Flexibility to develop bespoke wines and customised wine projects under the client’s brand name.
– International focus, with a presence in over 20 countries and solid export experience.
– Integration of renewable energies and responsible practices throughout the production process.
This year, we have also received a particularly significant accolade for our winery: our Amber Mistela was awarded the Grand Gold Medal at the International Bulk Wine Competition, held as part of the World Bulk Wine Exhibition, one of the most important international competitions for bulk wine.
We were also the only Spanish winery to obtain this highest award, as we mentioned in this post.
These milestones reinforce our determination to continue offering excellent service and value for money, which remains one of our hallmarks.

Our main area of expertise continues to be the production of sweet wines and vermouths tailored to each customer’s needs. Throughout this year, we have developed new customised projects —including specific formulations, bespoke bottling and own brands— that combine tradition, technical knowledge and a rigorous winemaking process.

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2026
At Bodegas Mamerto de la Vara, we are entering 2026 with the same determination that has guided us throughout our 85-year history: to continue producing quality wines, maintain our international presence and support our customers with friendly, professional and efficient service.
We are deeply grateful for the trust placed in us during 2025, a year that has highlighted our legacy and reaffirmed our vision for the future.
