Who are we?
We are a 100% family winery with 85 years of experience in the production of sweet wines in bulk.
Since 1940 and thanks to the dedication and effort of three generations, we have become specialists in the production and bottling of all types of vermouths, sweet wines, fortified wines, liqueur wines, muscats, mistelles and special types of wines made to order for our customers.
More than 80 years of reliability and proven professionalism make us leaders in the sweet wine sector in Spain, in terms of volume, quality and professional prestige.

Our wines
Quality and innovation without losing tradition
At Bodegas Mamerto de la Vara we have been creating quality wines since 1940.
For more than 80 years, our family, generation after generation, has been dedicated to improving every day by providing our customers with the most carefully produced wines.
Always maintaining an unbeatable quality-price ratio, our wines stand out for their excellence and quality, awarded in prestigious international competitions. A recent example is the Grand Gold Medal awarded to one of our wines at the International Bulk Wine Competition in Amsterdam in November 2025, making us the only Spanish winery to receive the competition’s highest distinction.
In addition, in the family we have been able to maintain all the good things about traditional winemaking so that our wines continue to be as they were in the past, made using the traditional methods of the winery’s founder, which have characterised us from the very beginning.
