Our History
Establised in 1940 by Mamerto de la Vara Pérez in La Palma del Condado (Huelva). It began its journey as a winery specialising in the production of bottled aperitifs under the brand name ‘Dulcamaro’ and Vermouth ‘Corinto y Oro’ whose original formula has remained unchanged to the present day.
The winery moved to Valencia, next to the Grao port area.
Incorporation of the second generation.
While the production winery remained located in the Grao area of Valencia, at the end of the 1960s, our family built and started up the winery for the production of mistelles in Quatretonda (Valencia, Spain), which had a grape reception hopper, production machinery and a capacity of 13,000 HL.
Incorporation of the third generation.
For operational and urban planning reasons, the winery moves from José Aguirre St to Méndez Núñez St, also in the Grao district of Valencia, where a new multi-format Bag in Box packaging line is set up.
Installation of cold stabilisation equipment.
Diversification and expansion of the range of products.
Opening up to foreign markets.
Centralisation of all the activity (Processing, production and export) in a single plant in Cheste (Valencia) where it is currently located.
Modernisation of the production, stabilisation, filtering and bottling processes.
Start-up of the bottling line with a capacity of up to 3,200 bottles/hour.
Renovation of all the indoor tanks of the winery, which are now made of stainless steel.
Capacity increased to 40,000 Hl.
Photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 75 kw/h.
IFS Progress Food accreditation.
Nowadays, the management of the winery remains in the hands of the third generation, diligently upholding the same values established since its founding. Guided by a heritage of excellence, we strive every day to keep the essence that distinguishes us.
