The Valencian winery Mamerto de la Vara has once again managed to win one of the few gold medals awarded to Spanish wineries in the prestigious International Bulk Wine Competition (IBW), which takes place within the framework of the main fair of the bulk wine sector World Bulk Wine Exhibition (WBWE), whose fifteenth edition started on Monday, November 20 in Amsterdam.
A total of 222 samples from 15 countries were submitted to a tasting panel of 26 international experts.
This demanding jury selected Dry Golden, from Bodegas Mamerto de la Vara as deserving of a gold medal, an achievement that only 4 other Spanish wineries have achieved. Our Dry Golden, aged for an average of 5 years in American oak barrels, presents a natural dark golden color due to its oxidative aging, a very powerful and complex nose and a pleasant and persistent aftertaste.
This recognition is a new endorsement of the good work and experience of this family winery, specialized in the production of Liqueur Wines, Muscatel and Vermouth, an activity that the De la Vara family has been carrying out exclusively for 3 generations and for almost 85 years.
