WE HAVE RENEWED, FOR ANOTHER YEAR, THE IFS PROGRESS FOOD CERTIFICATION

At Bodegas Mamerto de la Vara we are in luck: we have renewed for another year the prestigious IFS Progress Food certification, an international recognition that guarantees the solidity and rigour of our production process.

This accreditation, which is obtained through an external and independent audit, verifies compliance with the most demanding standards in terms of product quality, traceability and control at all stages of the process.

FROM TRADITIONAL ‘SAVOIR-FAIRE’ TO ENDORSED EXPERIENCE: THE VALUE OF CERTIFYING WHAT WE DO WELL.

In addition to the confidence that comes from our 85 years of family tradition and experience in the production and bottling of sweet wines, this certification reinforces the guarantee that each vermouth, muscatel or sweet wine that leaves our winery has been produced under strict controls that ensure compliance with the most demanding regulatory standards.

At Bodegas Mamerto de la Vara we are proud to continue making our wines with the original formulas that have accompanied us since 1940. Over time, we have been able to adapt them to the demands of today’s market, integrating them into processes certified by IFS Progress Food, which guarantee safety, traceability and quality without compromising their authenticity.

Since our beginnings, the artisanal production of sweet wines has been an essential part of our identity. However, we are aware that today this tradition must be accompanied by solid guarantees. That is why IFS certification allows us to maintain a traditional process, but backed up by precise controls and auditable records.

As an exporting winery, present in more than 20 countries, we know that in order to compete in international markets it is essential to have certifications that objectively accredit the safety, traceability and reliability of each reference that leaves our facilities.

Ángel de la Vara Soriano, CEO of Bodegas Mamerto de la Vara, sums up the significance of obtaining this recognition for another year: “Renewing the IFS Progress Food certification is much more than a formality: it is a guarantee that our way of understanding wine for 85 years has successfully adapted to the most demanding requirements of today’s market. This certification allows us to continue making our vermouths, muscatels and sweet wines with the original formulas dating back to 1940, combining artisanal and personalised processes with rigorous controls, traceability and food safety. It is, in short, the confirmation that it is possible to be faithful to our essence and, at the same time, offer our customers -in Spain and in more than 20 countries- the confidence of certified and consistent products”.
